Ignoring a White House veto threat, the Republican-controlled House approved a $642 billion defense budget Friday that breaks a deficit-cutting deal with President Barack Obama and restricts his authority in an election-year challenge to the Democratic commander in chief. While the president is face budget problems he is also facing the election this year. The House voted 299-120 for the fiscal 2013 spending blueprint that authorizes money for weapons, aircraft, ships and the war in Afghanistan _ $8 billion more than Obama and congressional Republicans agreed to last summer in the clamor for fiscal austerity.

This makes a connection by the US is losing great amount of money. US needs weapons , aircrafts , and ships. Also the US allows a lot of money to China. The US needs to pay the war debt of Afghanistan and equipments. Also US is dealing with gas prices.

This affects me by knowing that many people will be poor. The US will run out of money eventually if they don't make a change. This isn't fair for the students who are trying to learn while all this chaos is happening.

I can simply make a difference by writing essays like this. My opinion will be heard and also people might listen to it. This can change the future and many other peoples life.

Gas Prices still climbing , top $ 4 in 6 States

http://www.nctimes.com/ap/business/gas-prices-still-climbing-top-in-states/article_cf9bfbf5-01e0-510f-ad4a-c6579ca5f664.html

The average gas price is $ 3.831 per gallon. Now the gas prices are averaging more than $ 4 in six states plus Washington , D.C. The average gas price for a gallon of regular is now above $ 4 in Alaska, California , Connecticut , Hawaii , Illinois and New York. In California a gallon of unleaded gasoline at the pumped averaged $ 4.375. Nationally , gasoline has jumped by almost 56 cents per gallon since jan . 1 and is the highest ever for this time of year.

I would save money just in case the gas prices rise higher. Instead of cars getting ran by gas make cars electrical. Cars should be ran by electric , that way you can drive your cars and not worrying about gas. Electrical Cars don't make as much noise as gas cars. My solution is to replace gas cars with electrical  cars.

This affects me by having life harder to live. It takes lots of money out of people's wallets. Gas prices effect citizens because gas prices are going up and the economy is going down. This causes job losses no businesses. In my opinion eventually people are going to walk, bike , or the government makes a change.

This connects to the unit that are studying because in the late 17th century had problems as well. For example, large debt left after the war , the approval of the constitution , Independence. In modern days we have similar problems as well like gas prices. The solutions back then were war or argument ( debate ). We also use the same solutions as back then. Thats how it connects to the unit we are studying.

I well make a differences by helping on earth day or green day by recycling. I recycle anyway. Save money for the future. Donation money and save gas. There are many ways of making a difference.

                                                          Current Events
                                Students learning about American Revolution

A elementary school in Temecula has been learning about American Revolution for the past two weeks.
Drama and history lessons  were mixed for the student to act out the important events in the
American Revolution. The PTA President Shelly Cobb said the dramatic program brings history
to life. The students would choose characters and pick out some costumes. Finally they would act
out the Boston Massacre , Boston Tea party , and the three Revolutionary War battles. The
teachers say it is a great way to learn about your history.                                                                     ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The article talks about the American Revolution. It connects to the American Revolution by talking
about the Boston Massacre and other important events. In the article it shows how you can bring
the American Revolution to life. In colonies times after 1763, the king taxed the colonists on
almost everything, and the elementary school acts out the important events to get a feel for it. So
the students act out the American Revolution to understand it more.                                                       ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This article relates to me because I go to school and learn about the American Revolution as well. Other
kids also learn about American Revolution. In the colonies times after 1763, the king taxed the
colonists on any amount he wanted. In modern days people get taxed as well, but if you are poor
your taxes are lower. If your wealthy your taxes are higher.                                                                   ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think acting what your learning is fun and more effective than just reading and writing about it. If you
get a feel of what really happened. I think people who are poor should get lower amount of taxes.
People who are wealthy should get higher amount of taxes. Thats my opinion.
